1. Who We Are

2. Information We Collect

Information you give us directly

• Full name, email address, phone number and country when you enroll
• Your current occupation or professional background
• Password (stored as an irreversible hash — we cannot see your password)
• Passport photo uploaded to your student profile
• Assignment submissions including files and links
• Profile updates made inside the student portal

Information collected automatically

• IP address (used only for rate limiting to prevent abuse)
• Pages visited and lesson progress within the portal
• Browser type and device information via standard web logs

Payment information

We do not store your card details. All payments are processed by Paystack (PCI-DSS Level 1 compliant). We receive only a payment reference and confirmation status — never your full card number, CVV or expiry date.

3. How We Use Your Information

• To create and manage your student account
• To process your enrollment and payment
• To deliver course content, track your progress and issue certificates
• To send you enrollment confirmations, lesson updates and certificate notifications
• To process installment billing if you chose a payment plan
• To respond to support requests
• To prevent fraud and abuse of our platform
• To improve our courses based on aggregated, anonymised usage data

4. Legal Basis for Processing (GDPR)

If you are in the European Economic Area or United Kingdom, we process your data under the following legal bases:

• Contract performance — processing your enrollment and delivering your course
• Legitimate interests — preventing fraud, improving the platform, sending course-related communications
• Consent — where you have explicitly opted in to marketing emails

5. Who We Share Your Data With

We do not sell your data. We share it only with the following trusted service providers who process it on our behalf:

• Supabase — database and file storage (EU servers)
• Cloudflare — content delivery, DDoS protection and API hosting
• Paystack — payment processing
• Resend — transactional email delivery
• Google — reCAPTCHA bot protection

All providers are bound by data processing agreements and industry-standard security practices.

6. Data Retention

• Your account data is retained while your account is active
• If you request deletion, we remove your personal data within 30 days
• Payment records are retained for 7 years for financial compliance
• Certificates are retained indefinitely so they remain verifiable

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access — request a copy of your personal data
• Correction — update inaccurate information (via your profile settings)
• Deletion — request deletion of your account and data
• Portability — receive your data in a machine-readable format
• Objection — object to certain types of processing

8. Cookies

We use only essential cookies necessary for the platform to function. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies. No cookie consent banner is needed as we only use strictly necessary cookies.

9. Security

We protect your data with industry-standard security measures including HTTPS encryption on all pages, hashed passwords using PBKDF2-SHA256, JWT authentication for all API calls, and rate limiting to prevent brute-force attacks. However no system is completely immune — if you believe your account has been compromised please contact us immediately.

10. Children

Our platform is intended for adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from minors. If you believe a minor has registered please contact us and we will delete the account immediately.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify enrolled students of material changes via email. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page always shows when it was last revised.
